Alira Vinul Dobrogea,Romania

Alira Vinul

Alira is an 80-acre boutique winery, located in Dobrogea, on the hills overlooking the banks of the Old Danube. The values that guide us are the respect for nature, quality instead of quantity and providing a premium experience for every customer. The name Alira is a merge between the names of the localities of Aliman and Rasova where our vineyards are located and where the wine is crafted. This is a special place where nature works in favor of man and the only ingredients missing to make a legendary wine were passion and skill.

Bessa Valley Pazard- zhik region,Bulgaria

Bessa Valley
Domaine Bessa Valley dates from 2001 and covers 300 hectares in the Pazard- zhik region, 120km south-east of Sofia. The winery is situated in the famous land of wine from Antiquit on the place of ancient Thracian village – Maltepe., whose winegrowing history goes back at least to the 5th and 4th centuries B.C., as proved- by numerous archaeological vestiges. This old vine-growing tradition, the suitable combination of soil and climate, and detailed soil analysis brought the main share- holders in that part of Bulgaria.

The main investors Count Stephan von Neipperg (owner of several es- tates in Bordeaux, including Château Canon la Gaffelière, a Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé, and La Mondotte, also in Saint- Emilion) and Dr. Karl Heinz Hauptmann (a long-term Private Equity Investor in CEE), have the experience of few winemakers. Attracted by the old tradition of growing wines they established a remarkable new winery on the land of Ognianovo village and have done their utmost to give new life to the Valley, abandoned for 20 years.
